Harley’s life as a stray dog was a difficult one, marked by severe sarcoptic and demodex mange, small wounds all over her body, a tick-borne illness, and high bacterial infection and anemia. It was clear that she had endured a great deal of suffering, and we suspected that she may have been subjected to maltreatment, as she was initially afraid and distant from us.

Despite the challenging situation, we remained patient, dedicated, and full of love towards Harley. We provided her with the medical attention and care that she needed to recover, and slowly but surely, she began to transform into a beautiful, cheerful, and loving pup.

Through a combination of veterinary treatment and the tireless efforts of our shelter staff, Harley was able to overcome her physical ailments and heal her emotional scars. She learned to trust and open up to us, and soon her true personality shone through.
